Billboard Philippines Women In Music 2026 shone the spotlight on the remarkable, influential, and game-changing women shaping the present and future of OPM. From rising artists to industry legends, the celebration empowers the pivotal role of female innovators and creatives in the mostly male-dominated field.
But beyond just an awards ceremony recognizing their artistry, achievements, and contributions, Women in Music has always been an avenue for amplifying voices, honoring talent, and inspiring the next generation of Filipina musicians and artists.
This year’s iteration of the landmark event saw fan favorites like Ashtine Olviga and KAIA take home the People’s Choice and Listener’s Choice awards for “Tanga,” respectively.
KZ Tandingan was honored with the Rule Breaker Award for constantly pushing the boundaries of what an artist can be and refusing to be confined by industry expectations. G22 rose to the challenge and were named Rising Star awardees as one of the forces of nature in the realm of P-pop, exemplified by their performances, artistry, and the way the trio carries itself.
Yeng Constantino celebrated her 20th year in the industry with the milestone of receiving the Hitmaker Award, and it’s no secret she is a veteran in this field. With no fixed formula for creating hits, this recognition serves as a testament to how her authenticity and dedication as an artist have paid off.
Before BINI are set to make a splash on the global stage as the first all-Filipino girl group to perform at Coachella 2026, they were honored with the Powerhouse Award for their consistency in breaking barriers, braving adversities, and remaining a mainstay not only in the local music scene but also in the wider Filipino pop culture zeitgeist.
Lolita Carbon also marked a milestone, celebrating 50 years in the industry. The Pinoy folk rock legend was named this year’s Icon Honoree, and calling her an “icon” would even be an understatement. Her longevity and undeniable influence in OPM continue to serve with purpose, with no signs of stopping.
Last but definitely not least, the night wouldn’t be complete without Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Billboard Philippines‘ Woman of the Year, claiming the crown she rightfully deserves. What this award meant for her was not only personal recognition but also honoring the other women who deserve to be uplifted and empowered, in what would be the twilight of Asia’s Songbird’s illustrious career, after more than 40 years in the music scene.
With that, the celebration continued with an intimate dinner at Bueno Tapas & Wine Restaurant in BGC that brought together some of the night’s esteemed honorees and guests for a more relaxed, personal gathering.
The evening’s atmosphere was complemented by an exquisite Spanish‑inspired dinner, where exquisite dishes, shared plates, and curated wines and refreshments brought rising artists ALAMAT, KAIA, VVINK, Ashtine Olviga, and Jolianne together for conversations and connections that allowed them to reflect on a night to remember.
The exclusive dinner served as the perfect capstone to Women in Music 2026 — a night where excellence and inspiration went hand in hand, legendary voices were celebrated, legacies were honored, and the path was paved for even more aspiring artists to make their mark in this industry.
