Billboard Philippines Women In Music is officially returning this 2026.
First held in 2024, the landmark event solely dedicated to honoring women in the Filipino music scene is back for the third year in a row. Recognized as the first of its kind in the Filipino music industry, Billboard Philippines Women In Music aims to highlight the achievements, contributions, and influence that Filipino women, both on and off stage, have made to define and redefine what Filipino music is, was, and can be. Here, there is no competition but rather, a fitting stage and spotlight to showcase and uplift what women in Filipino music have done through the years, all for the entire world to witness.
In 2025 for the event’s second edition, Billboard Philippines chose to rightfully honor the powerful women from behind-the-scenes — those who shape, guide, and lead our music industry from beyond the limelight where our artists shine. Dubbed ‘The Executive Edition,’ this iteration of Billboard Philippines Women In Music was held to recognize the boundary-pushing work of some of the most influential leaders in the Filipino Music Industry: Rhiza Pascua, Atty. Marivic Benedicto, Audry Dionisio, Kathleen Dy-Go, Georgette Tengco, and Roslyn Reyes Pineda. Alongside this, Billboard Philippines honored BINI as the 2025 Women Of The Year, highlighting and showcasing the P-pop icons widespread influence and impact throughout and beyond our borders.
This year, we’re bringing it back to how it all started as Billboard Philippines Women In Music 2026 is set to happen on March 24, 2026 with one night, six outstanding Filipina artists, and six rightfully bestowed awards, alongside two fan-voted categories.

Woman Of The Year
Showcasing consistent excellence, having sustained cultural impact across generations, and being the shining example of a leader in Filipino music is not something many artists can so easily achieve. For this year’s Billboard Philippines Women In Music, the Woman Of The Year Award shall be given to a Filipina artist who has not only made major contributions to Filipino music and attained widespread influence in their career, but has also tirelessly built a legacy filled with unforgettable performances. spectacular live shows, chart-topping releases, and songs that transcend generations.
In 2024, Billboard Philippines Women In Music honored Sarah Geronimo with the Woman Of The Year award, followed by the aforementioned BINI in 2025.

To have been someone who has shaped even a part of Filipino music’s identity is an honor in itself.
With how constantly and consistently evolving Filipino music is and always has been, we cannot forget the very people who laid the foundations for this to even be possible. It is through these forerunning artists that Filipino music has been able to not only stand the test of time, but they also gave us the space and ability to appreciate all sorts all sort of sounds within the OPM spectrum — from rock to folk, from pop to hip-hop, and so on.
And so, for this year’s Billboard Philippines Women In Music, the Icon Award shall be rightfully given to a Filipina artist whose accomplishments and creations defined the very core of Filipino music, with this honor recognizing their longevity and longstanding impact and influence in one of the most beloved and enduring sounds of OPM.
The previous recipient of the Billboard Philippines Women In Music Icon award was Pilita Corrales, who was bestowed the title in 2024.
Powerhouse
Over the years, the Filipino people have proven just how dedicated we can be when it comes to music and the artists we love. It’s this strong, consistent devotion that has propelled many Filipino acts to the next level, with their music and artistry reaching positions that often defy expectations time and time again, further backed by concrete data in the form of streaming numbers, ticket sales, and more.
For an artist and their songs to resonate at this level is definitely not something you see everyday but it’s a feat that is undeniably worth recognizing, especially for those who have made such profound impact that has altered the very landscape of OPM. And so, this year, the Billboard Philippines Women In Music Powerhouse Award shall be bestowed upon a Filipina act whose songs have unquestionably dominated streaming, sales, and nationwide airplay, leading them to become one of most commercially successful figures in modern Filipino music.
In the past, the Billboard Philippines Women In Music Powerhouse Award was previous given back in 2024, with the honor going to Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
Hitmaker
It takes a special kind of artists to craft what would become an undeniable hit — one that spreads far and wide and finds a home in the heart of countless fans of all ages. It’s these songwriters and musicians who have created compositions that are not only objectively and technically crafted to perfection, but have also managed to speak to the heart of millions of people across the country and beyond, with some eventually impact Filipino culture itself.
For this, the Billboard Philippines Women In Music shall be giving the Hitmaker Award to a Filipina act whose artistry has resulated in some of the most enduring and era-defining hit releases within the ever-changing OPM landscape.
Prior to 2026, the Billboard Philippines Women In Music Powerhouse Award was last bestowed upon an artist in 2024, with the award being given to Moira Dela Torre.
Rising Star
While it can be a difficult pursuit for an artist to find their career breakthrough, it is not completely unachievable. But for them to turn that game-changing moment into a sustained and powerful ascent to success is a whole other story. Beyond being a cut above the rest, the artists who do manage to achieve this feat are backed by examples tireless devotion to their craft and an unstoppable drive to best themselves further each day, resulting in an artistry that is not only refined but also resonates with others in their rise to the top.
For a Filipina artist such as this, the Billboard Philippines Women In Music Rising Star Award shall be rightfully given, recognizing not only their rapid climb and intensifying impact in Filipino music, but also the hardwork and commitment they’ve showcased in all aspects of their budding artistry.

For others, changing it all up can be the gateway to true freedom of creative expression and that requires a certain kind of bravery to pursue.
In recognizing tenacious and exciting acts like this, Billboard Philippines Women In Music shall be giving the Rule Breaker award to a Filipina artist who has confidently chosen to redefine their musicality beyond traditional expectations, resulting in them transforming their craft to becoming the best it can be beyond any form of conformity.
The title of Billboard Philippines Women In Music Rule Breaker was last given back in 2024, with ena mori receiving the award as its first ever recipient.
