Billboard Philippines Women In Music was an unforgettable night. Even almost a week since the event, so many artists and guests are still reeling in from all the celebrations.

On the surface, the night – which was opened by a performance from Barbie Almalbis – saw the awarding and performances of Sarah Geronimo, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Pilita Corrales, BINI, and Ena Mori; but beyond that, it brought together so many people from all corners of the music industry to celebrate and empower women in music. From fans to label executives to musicians and performers, the first run of Billboard Philippines Women In Music brought to light the driving force of Filipino music: love. Love for your craft and love for the songs that soundtrack our lives.

Most importantly, Billboard Philippines Women In Music shined a light on the tremendous stories of women in music and how they continue to pave ways and break glass ceilings in their own distinct ways. They inspire a whole new generation of young girls and performers, embodying resilience, grace, and power.
