South Korean-based Filipino boy band HORI7ON has joined the red carpet of the first-ever Filipino Music Awards, held on October 21 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

In an interview with Billboard Philippines, the “SIX7EEN” singers opened up about carrying the Filipino flag to international stages and how they see the same pride reflected tonight.

“It’s amazing that Filipino music is being recognized and that there is a special night dedicated for it, and it’s always such a nice chance to have for us as a group to be representatives internationally and even here in the Philippines. Of course, we’re very glad as HORI7ON to be here today,” says Vinci, leader of the group.

The first-ever Filipino Music Awards brings together the OPM industry’s biggest artists and influential figures, honoring their contributions to the wider industry at large, presenting a total 20 honors across five major categories and is organized by Modern Media Group Inc. — home to renowned global titles such as Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp.
