Lola Amour always know how to have a good time.

Even when dealing with the pitfalls of heartbreak and life’s messiest moments, the funk-pop outfit have always had a way of turning vulnerability into something joyful, wrapping bittersweet truths in grooves that make you want to sing, dance, and live in the moment. That same spirit was alive and well during the band’s ‘Love On Loop: The Album Concert’ last September 12, at SPACE at One Ayala.

On record, Love On Loop thrives on cycles: love that falters, feelings that return, and memories that never really leave. And even live, Lola Amour strapped you in for quite the ride, taking you through loops of cathartic release and euphoric dance tracks and leaving you with a night to remember.

With the crowd and stage warmed up from opening sets by The Itchyworms, The Ridleys, and KAIA, the night officially began with a whirling intro that — similar to catching a glimpse of that special someone across the room — had your hearts racing and anticipating the rush of everything that was about to unfold.

From there, Lola Amour wasted no time pulling the audience into their orbit with “The Moment” alongside PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE‘s KOKORO — setting the tone for what the rest of the night had in store: playful, unexpected, and undeniably electric.

What followed was an immersive run through of the album, each track reimagined to become a burst of color and energy that lifted the room into a collective high, where even the heaviest lyrics felt light on their feet.

By the time “Love On Loop” came around, the concert was a frenzy of energy, the crowd surging and grooving with every beat. Played front to back, the album unfolded with one spectacular performance after another, each one breathing new life into the album’s stories of love, loss, and longing.

But like with the album itself, everything really does come back around. After curtain call, the lights flickered back on and ignited an uproar of cheers from the crowd. As Lola Amour played the familiar opening notes of their viral hit “Raining In Manila,” it was clear that the night was far from over. They continued with a playful rendition of the pop track — including a special appearance and performance with KOKORO — that everyone undoubtedly sang and danced along to.

For another hour, the band kept the energy alive, weaving in fan favorites hits like “Pwede Ba” and “Fallen” and spontaneous jams that you’ve never believe you’d hear at a Lola Amour show.

Complete with flashing lights and a sea of confetti, the night — even before anyone could fully realize what was going on — transformed into something straight of a nightclub from the 2010s. Featuring surprising renditions of classic millennial club anthems like Daft Punk’s “One More Time,” Bonnie Bailey’s “Ever After,” and of course, the unbeatable “Clarity” by Zedd performed alongside BARB. and Any Name’s Okay‘s Sof Abrogar, the show became a nonstop dance party that had the crowd jumping, singing, and feeling like the night could go on forever.

From start to finish, Lola Amour proved that they know how to throw a party like no one else.

‘Love On Loop: The Album Concert’ was a night where life’s often dramatic cycles of love and love were replaced with endless loops of pure, unrelenting fun that left the crowd exhilarated, breathless, and still dancing long after the lights went down.
