Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has revealed that he will be releasing a new album soon.
In an Instagram post uploaded today (March 6 Philippine time), the singer premiered a narrative video and shared on his Instagram stories the pre-save link. However, the story has been deleted as of writing.
“I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being,” he says in the teaser. “My ambitions, my fears…and for them to have a connection with that. And that’s why it’s so raw, you know, it’s just me writing this. I didn’t want anybody else to be in between me and the music and the people listening to it.”
After the spoken part, he plays a snippet of what appears to be the record’s lead single. Check out the pre-save link here.
Zayn’s last record was the 2021 record Nobody Is Listening and followed Icarus Falls, which was released last 2018. He departed from One Direction in 2016 and made his debut with the single “PILLOWTALK.” His debut album Mind of Mine was released in the same year.
