Ysanygo are heading to Japan.
The genre-fluid sibling duo announced a series of shows set to be held in Manila as well as Japan from late September to late October, revealing their participation at this year’s Kansai Music Conference in Osaka and Kyoto.
Established in 2009, the Kansai Music Conference or KMC is described as “all-genre music industry event with musicians coming from all over the world to perform” in order for them to “network and showcase their music to the Japanese market.” It is held yearly in the southern region of Japan called Kansai. This 2024, it will notably be held with unique events in Osaka, Kyoto, Awaji, and Kobe, from October 4 to 6.
Ysanygo will participate in two of these events, serving as the Philippines’ sole representatives.
The first event will be on October 4 (Friday), which will include workshops and performances in Osaka, wherein “artists from around the world will introduce their talent and culture to elementary school kids in Osaka through workshops and live music.” This event is held with the goal of creating international excitement for EXPO 2025 — a world expo set to be hosted by Osaka in 2025 across 184 days. Ysanygo will be joined by Agula (Mongolia), Maaya (Osaka), Sekai no Kotodama (Africa), Legrand (USA), Mareo! (Chile), Simon Hudson (Australia), Sam Brothers (UK), Oranj Son (UK), and Sleepwalker’s Station (Germany).
The second event will be on October 5 (Saturday), which will feature live performances in Kyoto, serving as the third edition of KMC’s ‘Girls Nights.’ Held with the goal of supporting UNICEF fifth Sustainable Development Goal of gender equality, KMC’s ‘Girls Nights’ will be held once again at Growly with a door charge of JPY 2,000 along with a JPY 600 drink charge. Ysanygo will share the stage with Liil Bits (UK), Sammy Adjei (Kyoto), Taroko (Kyoto), and Momo (Kyoto).

In addition to this, the two will also be participating at the inaugural ASIYA Fest this October 12 to 13, sharing the stage with BINI, Hyukoh and Sunset Rollercoaster, Balming Tiger, Zild, and more.
