Following weeks of growing buzz after their surprise introduction, XONARA officially steps into the P-pop scene with the release of their debut single, “TABI.”
Serving as their debut single, “TABI” introduces XONARA with explosive energy, blending chant-like hooks, smooth pre-choruses, and hard-hitting rap sections. The track features the catchy refrain “Move, tabi, tabi,” elevated by playful “la-la-la” melodies in the background. The members are credited as lyricists, while SB19 member Pablo also participated in the track’s mixing.
Reflecting XONARA’s determination to carve out their own place in the P-pop scene, the girls chant out the lyrics: “Hey, fresh crew, yeah, we settin’ up the pace / Outta ten went from zero just to ace / So raw we be makin’ our wave, wave, wave, wave.”
First appearing during a performance at SB19’s Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale, the girl group performed the single for the first time at the SMDC Festival Grounds stage, catching the attention of the public with their electrifying stage presence and choreography.
Following the single’s release, XONARA are set to drop the song’s music video on May 16, alongside XONARA’S WORLD, a debut event at Escolta Street in Manila featuring performances, meet-and-greet sessions, pop-up booths, and other fun activities.
Composed of members TIN, EUREKAH, DOMINIQUE, ELLA, NAMIE, MEGUMI, and LEI, the seven-member girl group is under 1Z Entertainment, the label co-founded by the Kings of P-pop, SB19 The group also recently revealed that they are under UMG Philippines and Republic Records, with all three companies changing their social media profile logos to red in support of XONARA’s debut.
Prior to their official debut, the seven-member act also performed at the Aurora Music Festival alongside artists including IV OF SPADES, Sarah Geronimo, Ben&Ben, December Avenue, Armi Millare, and 1Z Entertainment’s senior group, SB19.
