XG have released their first live album, entitled XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL” Live.

Featuring performances of such hit tracks as “WOKE UP,” “SHOOTING STAR,” “LEFT RIGHT,” and more, the 13-track album features live recordings taken from the Japanese girl group’s concert at Japan’s Tokyo Dome last May 14, 2025. Attended by 50,000 fans, the show served as the finale to XG’s first ever world tour, dubbed ‘The first HOWL.’

‘The first HOWL’ world tour spanned an entire year from May 2024 to May 2025 and held across 18 countries and a total of 47 shows, with most dates completely sold out. Notably, it included XG performing for the first time at Coachella last April 2025, where the girl group served as the only Japanese act to have their own solo set.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, XG described the tour as being able to fulfill one of their “biggest dreams” ever. “Accomplishing such a successful tour wasn’t easy by any means but getting to travel around the world and meet so many of our fans (ALPHAZ) in person made it all so meaningful,” shared member HINATA, who noted how they “truly felt how far [their] music has reached around the world.” “It’s been unbelievable to visit so many places during this world tour, and it made us feel that all the hard work was worth it. We’re filled with gratitude for everyone who supported us along the way, and most of all, for our beloved ALPHAZ.”

With this, she specifically notes how releasing the single on the final day of their first world tour made it “all the more emotional and meaningful.” “To us, this song represents a year of growth and is a heartfelt expression of all the gratitude we feel.”
