On June 26, 2025, it was announced that the Monsters of P-pop, VXON, are set to release their latest single entitled “Dapat Lang Ako Lang.” As of July 4, 2025, the song has currently been released in an audio and lyric video format. Written about the daunting moment of asking for clarity in a relationship, the track bursts with energy in its funky pop direction.

This marks the “SSP” hitmakers’ fourth single drop of the year, following the kalye hip-hop inspired piece, “sh*t sobrang init,” that came out on April 25. Prior to that, the group dropped two other tracks, “TABI TABI” and “Agila,” that were released on March 14 and January 10 respectively.

VXON were previously announced as part of the Billboard Philippines’ P-pop Rising Class of 2025, earning recognition as torchbearers of the new generation of the genre. In a special episode of Billboard Philippines’ Volumes, the group’s leader, C13, conveyed his insight on the bright future of P-pop: “When we debuted three years ago, we were asked the same question — and to see everything happen so fast within the span of three years instead of [typically] five, we’re very proud, we’re very humbled. Sobrang natutuwa rin kami na nagkaroon ng maraming platforms like Billboard Philippines; marami maraming salamat sa inyo at totoong sumusuporta sa P-pop (We’re overjoyed that there have been many platforms like Billboard Philippines; thank you very much for your genuine support for P-pop).”

Later, he adds, “Before, gusto na natin magkaroon ng mga concerts sa mga (we wanted to have concerts in) small venues, but now, look at what’s happening. We’re selling out arenas, not just for one day but for two, and may (there are) international [shows]. We’re very proud of where P-pop is right now.”
