Tyla has just gotten a major push with the release of the music video to the remix of “PUSH 2 START,” which features the one and only Sean Paul.
The South African pop star dropped the 2000s-inspired visualizer, that she herself helmed as the co-director of the newly released video. Taking visual cues from Paul’s music video to “I’m Still In Love With You” (which the remix itself samples), Tyla showcases her fluid dancing skills alongside a group of dancers while donning Y2K-esque outfits for the different scenes and settings in the video.
“I got my first set of credits on this one,” said Tyla of the music video, which was co-directed alongside Taylor Fauntleroy. Check out the music video in its entirety below:
Tyla and Paul’s remix to “PUSH 2 START” was first released a few weeks back on Valentine’s Day. It revisits the viral track off the rising pop sensation’s deluxe edition of her eponymous debut album, which dropped in October 2024. The track reached a peak position of No. 17 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart a few weeks back and currently ranks at No. 53 on last week’s chart (dated March 1, 2025).
Paul, who gained prominence in the early 2000s, found viral success over the past two decades with hit songs like “No Lie,” “Temperature,” and “Get Busy.” He most recently collaborated with Romanian singer INNA on a remix to her track “Let It Talk To Me” and released his latest single “Nah Follow Dem” last month before the release of this remix. In 2022, the Jamaican musician dropped his latest full-length record Scorcha and celebrated the twentieth anniversary of his sophomore album, Dutty Rock.
