After quite the wait, South Korea’s very own nation’s girl group, TWICE, has released their highly anticipated fourth album, THIS IS FOR.
The newly released record comprises a total of fourteen brand new songs, which span various genres and soundscapes throughout its nearly forty-minute runtime. Featuring contributions from various international and Korean collaborators, the album also includes group tracks, alongside sub-unit songs, adding a sense of novelty and variety for avid ONCEs to enjoy with every listen. It also coincides with the K-pop group’s tenth anniversary on the scene — making this a musically rich culmination of their career in the industry after all these years — while also adding new elements to their sonic palette that indicate where they’re headed soon after this.
To coincide with the album’s release, the group also released a dazzling music video for the album’s title track, which can be viewed in its entirety below:
TWICE’s THIS IS FOR is their first full-length album in four years, following the release of Formula of Love: O+T=<3 back in 2021. The latter spawned the hit singles “The Feels” and “SCIENTIST,” and was preceded by their other albums Eyes Wide Open and Twicetagram.
Just recently, the group made their latest comeback in December 2024 with their fourteenth mini-album Strategy, with its title track featuring Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion. TWICE also collaborated with the beloved Houston rapper on a special remix to the latter’s chart-topping single “Mamushi,” and even as part of a new rendition of Coldplay’s track “WE PLAY.”
To coincide with the album’s release, TWICE are also set to embark on a world tour of the same name, wherein they will be performing at the Philippine Arena once more this October 4, 2025. Though no other details have been mentioned with regard to ticket prices and availability, other dates for the first leg of the tour include stops in South Korea, Japan, Macao, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Australia, with more shows to be announced for next year.
As we anticipate TWICE’s return to the Philippines later this year, listen to THIS IS FOR below:
