TWICE‘s Chaeyoung is officially set to make her debut as a solo artist this September.

The news was announced via TWICE and JYP Entertainment’s official social media channels, with a brief caption posted alongside the video teaser. The caption reads, ‘CHAEYOUNG – THE 1ST SOLO ALBUM’, alongside a release date of September 12, 2025, at 1 PM (KST)/12 AM (EST). The forty-one-second video teaser gives fans a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes process of Chaeyoung’s recording of the album, including herself having a discussion with Japanese pop band Gliiico, singing in a recording booth, and even playing piano.

Chaeyoung’s upcoming solo debut marks the fourth solo career from TWICE’s members, following that of Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. Most recently, Tzuyu released her debut solo mini-album, aboutTZU, last September, while Nayeon dropped her second mini-album, NA, earlier last June.

The highly anticipated solo record from Chaeyoung also follows the K-pop group’s latest full-length album, THIS IS FOR, which was met with critical and commercial acclaim upon release. They also recently dropped the single “ENEMY,” which precedes their forthcoming sixth Japanese album of the same name (releasing later this August 27), and were also featured in Saweetie‘s new single, “superstars.”
