TWICE‘s Chaeyoung has finally released her long-awaited solo debut album, titled LIL. FANTASTY vol. 1.
The newly released record comprises nine original tracks — including the previously released single “Avocado” featuring Gliico, which serves as the album’s opening song. All nine tracks on the project feature the beloved K-pop idol’s involvement in the songwriting and production process, allowing her to explore a range of sounds, from dreamy pop sensibilities to more provocative material that leans towards genres such as funk and R&B.
Together with the album’s full release, Chaeyoung also dropped a special music video to the record’s lead single, “Shoot (Firecracker),” which takes inspiration from fantastical stories and fairy tales like Alice In Wonderland, especially with its number of strange settings, which include being sandwiched between a number of mattresses, frolicking through a mystical garden, rooms with gigantic desserts and more.

LIL FANTASY vol. 1 marks the first solo album of Chaeyoung, and the fourth solo project from South Korea’s ‘nation’s girl group’, TWICE. It follows after Tzuyu’s mini-album, aboutTZU, and Nayeon’s NA which were both released in 2024.
In other TWICE-related news, the beloved K-pop group has celebrated their tenth anniversary in the music scene with several hit releases, including their original song “Takedown” for Netflix’s hit animated film Kpop Demon Hunters, their latest Japanese studio album ENEMY, and their fourth studio album THIS IS FOR. The latter spawned the chart-topping single, “THIS IS FOR,” which peaked at No. 20 on the Philippines Hot 100 chart.
Both Chaeyoung and her fellow TWICE members are also set to perform in the Philippines this October 4 at the Philippine Arena for their ‘THIS IS FOR’ World Tour, with tickets already sold out.
