American alternative-rock band the Pixies are set to mark their debut performance in the Philippines with their upcoming concert in Manila next year.
The upcoming show is set to be a part of their world tour in honor of their 40th anniversary as a band (aptly titled ‘Pixies 40 In Manila’), and is set to take place this May 10, 2026, at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Presented by Karpos Multimedia, the forthcoming concert will feature a standard price of Php 4,450 for all GA Regular Tickets, with tickets scheduled to go on sale this November 13, 2025 (Thursday).
Now comprised of members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and Emma Richardson, the Pixies were formed back in 1986 and are widely regarded as one of the most influential acts of the 1980s alternative rock movement — eventually serving as a major influence for groups like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Weezer, and The Strokes.
With their string of hits over the past four decades (such as “Where Is My Mind?,” “Gigantic,” “Here Comes Your Man,” “Monkey Gone To Heaven,” and “Velouria”), the group has become renowned for their dynamic “loud-quiet-loud” shifts and eclectic song structures, which often blend punk rock and surf rock seamlessly. Most recently, the Pixies released their ninth studio album, The Night the Zombies Came, in October 2024, which spawned the singles “Chicken” and “Motoroller.”
