As a special surprise, The Juans have just released a special rendition of their latest single “Ano Ba Talaga Tayo?” featuring the one and only Janine Berdin.

The newly released collaboration was first announced by the beloved pop rock group on their social media platforms, stating their excitement at her invovlement with the track. “We dive into the chaos of almosts and what-ifs with Janine Berdin, and we are not holding back,” said their post. “Ito ang collab na di mo inaasahang kailangan mo pa! (This is the collab that you never thought you needed!)”

Together with the release of the song on all various and digital streaming platforms, the group and Berdin also shared a performance video of their collaboration, which showcased additional layers of vulnerability from both parties on the track. The video was directed by Raliug, and was presented by Lunchbox Productions. Check it out in its entirety below:

“Ano Ba Talaga Tayo” was originally released earlier this May 2025, and was accompanied by the release of a short film that starred Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo.

(The music video really relates to the song cause it’s the main anchor of the story. In the music video, Ari just really wants to know what she is to Joms. The question ‘What are we?’ has a lot of meanings, it can mean defining the relationship or asking why you can’t let me go. So for this, the main point of the story is how Ari can break the cycle with Joms because she can’t resist him.)

The track serves as their third single of The Juans this year (so far), following their releases “bestfriend” and “Pasensyoso” over the past few months. Such tracks mark the build-up for the celebration of their ten years in the music scene, which is set to culminate with the release of a full album later in the year. “We’re working on a full album that we’re really excited for people to hear,” said lead vocalist and keyboardist Carl Guevarra earlier this year. “It’s got that familiar hugot (heartbreak) that everyone loves pero (but) this time, we’re also exploring new themes.”

“Each member is stepping up to take a bigger role in shaping the band’s sound this time. We’re not just sticking to what’s familiar — this time we’re trying mga ibang (other) genres and we’ll push our creative boundaries to bring something fresh sa (to the) fans,” adds RJ Cruz, their acoustic guitarist.
