Electronic music duo Tarsius is set to bring Filipino music on the global stage this December, with their forthcoming appearance in the French music festival, Trans Musicales 2025.

The announcement was shared by Tarsius on their social media platforms, wherein members Diego Mapa and Jay Gapasin shared details of the date of their performance on December 6, 2025, at Hall 5 of the Parc Expo in Rennes, France. The festival is set to take place from December 3 to 7, 2025, and is set to feature an eclectic mix of acts from France and the rest of the world.

Tarsius’ appearance at the upcoming festival marks another historic feat for OPM on the global stage, considering that this marks the first time a Philippine act will be performing in the festival. However, they have also performed across various international music festivals — including Bangkok Music City earlier this March, as well as in Clockenflap, Wonderfruit, and more over the past decade.

Just recently, the electronic duo released a new single, “Vagabond,” earlier this year in February, which was the follow-up to their 2024 single, “Spectrum.” In 2020, they released their second album, Culture Cow, which featured the tracks “Agos,” “Torazin,” “Gumamela,” and several others.

France’s Trans Musicales festival has stood as a pivotal platform for musical discovery and cultural exchange since 1979, and is held annually in the vibrant city of Rennes. Over the course of nearly five decades, Trans Musicales has not only introduced France to the next wave of musical innovation, but has also brought a number of talents from all over the world to the European market. Their genre-defying lineup is comprised of more than 80 groups and artists from over 26 nationalities and music industry professionals that come in from across the globe.
