Over the long weekend (October 31, 2025), Cebu-based pop artist SUGARKISS (alternatively known as Diane Tungol) unveiled her latest single, a special Halloween release titled “2 eyes,” released under Filla Killa Records. The track was mainly produced by Vince Lucero (who she previously worked with for “Leftover Love”), and Francis Gatmaitan and Luigi Balazo, who worked on the piece as co-producers.
In an official press release, the track was described to be “a noir-leaning alt-hip hop track that talks about clocking people’s facades and being three steps ahead of people, making it impossible for their ill intentions to creep up on you.”
“I wanted to continue my storytelling from being vulnerable in Shatter Matter and Leftover Love to regaining my power through RRRip and finally, 2 eyes. It was really fun writing and creating this track,” Diane shares in this same press release. Furthermore, she adds, “‘2 eyes’ is not about explaining; it’s seeing. ‘2 eyes’ doesn’t defend, plead, or unravel. It observes, confirms, and moves on.”
This would be SUGARKISS’ first major musical drop of the year, following the release of “RRRip” in September 2024. Otherwise, the artist has been consistently releasing remixes of her existing discography, the most recent being a remix of “Leftover Love” by ST3R10.
