SUD are returning with a new EP, entitled obviously insecure now i’m losing sleep.

In a press statement, the three-track release is described as “a sonic confession with themes focused on longing, self-doubt, and the thrilling uncertainty that comes with desire” inspired by “late-night introspection.” Mixed by Emil Dela Rosa and mastered by Jan Aries Agadier Fuertez, the upcoming record is set to come out on December 19, 2025 (Friday) via Yellow Room Music Philippines.

obviously insecure now i’m losing sleep was preceded by the single “Obviously,” which is the record’s opening track, released last May 30, 2025. Produced by Ean Mayor of UDD, the song is described as a bright electro-pop, dance-driven track that mirrors the rush and vulnerability of finally admitting one’s feelings. It is then followed by the self-produced track “Insecure,” which sees the band take on an alternative rock sound. Meanwhile, the final track of the release is the R&B-infused “Losing Sleep,” which was produced by VinceD and sees the band explore the idea of “late-night intimacy spent on thinking of someone beyond reach.”

“It’s like a reset. Our releases before were very cohesive sonically so nag-try kami ng (we tried something) left field. It’s like a palate cleanse,” states the band’s frontman, Sud Ballecer.
