Stephen Sanchez is back with a brand new single, “Sweet Love,” releasing this Friday, January 9, 2026.
Apart from the new single, the Nashville-based singer has also teased a brand new album on the way. “We’re singing love songs again. SWEET LOVE is out Friday, and your first chance to hear it live (along with some other new songs from some kind of new album maybe?) is this Thursday at The Basement East,” says Sanchez in an announcement.
Sanchez became known for his hit, “Until I Found You,” which was released in 2021 and went viral on TikTok. The song received widespread attention for its message, with Sanchez explaining that it was inspired by his experiences in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend and how he pushed her away because he felt undeserving of her love.
Listeners have resonated with the chorus, which says, “I would never fall in love again until I found her.” The song peaked at the No. 23 spot on the Billboard US Hot 100, and was nominated for Top Rock Song and Push Performance of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards in 2023.
That same year, he released his debut album, Angel Face. It featured “Until I Found You” and the singles “Evangeline,” “Only Girl,” and “Be More.”
In 2024, Sanchez was featured on Lin-Manuel Miranda‘sWarriors concept album, based on the 1979 action film The Warriors, which was adapted from the 1965 Sol Yurick novel of the same name. He played the part of Cal of the all-male Bizzies gang and provided the vocals for the songs “Cardigans,” “We Got You,” and “We Got You (Reprised).”
