Sophia Laforteza is set to resume group activities with KATSEYE in January 2027.

“We are happy to share that Sophia will resume group activities with KATSEYE beginning the first week of January 2027,”HYBE x Geffen Records says in an official statement posted on Weverse.

“Sophia has been prioritizing her health and well-being with our full support and resources. While Sophia will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in North America, or promotional activities for the remainder of this year, we look forward to welcoming her back as KATSEYE continues this next chapter together in 2027,” the statement adds.

The two labels also expressed their gratitude to EYEKONS, KATSEYE’s , for their continued love, support, and understanding as Sophia prioritizes her well-being.

The Filipina member took a temporary break in August to focus on her physical and mental health. She sat out the European leg of the global girl group’s The Wildworld Tour. She was the second member to go on hiatus following Manon Bannerman, who has been on hiatus since February of this year.
