Yesterday (July 16, 2025), Korean singer-songwriter Soyou made a long-awaited comeback with her latest single, “PDA.” This makes the former Sistar’s first musical drop since signing with the indie label Magic Strawberry Sound that houses artists like CHEEZE, Samui, and more..
With a title short for “Public Display of Affection,” the song was shared in a press release to be “exploring a love where emotions meet desire — from the perspective of a self-assured woman.” On a similar note, the song’s music video shows love in all its forms being proudly expressed in public spaces, and takes inspiration from early 2000s visual elements.

For Soyou, the song “not only highlights her refined sensibility but also reveals a bolder, more instinctive side of her artistry.” To reflect this evolution, the track is produced with a mix of sonic influences — from dance music to the classic Y2K pop sound.
Formerly part of the four-member second generation K-pop girl group, Sistar, Soyou made her official debut as a solo artist in 2012 with the collaborative piece “Officially Missing You, Too” with Geeks. Since then, the artist has made popular tracks like “Some (ft. Lil Boi)” and “I Miss You.”
