SEVENTEEN’s S.COUPS and MINGYU Announce 1st Mini Album ‘HYPE VIBES’ – Watch
The official debut of both SEVENTEEN members as their own sub-unit comes after their fellow members’ own groupings, such as HxW and BSS.

SEVENTEEN‘s S.COUPS and MINGYU have officially announced their new sub-unit with the release of their first mini-album, officially titled HYPE VIBES.
The newly announced project was confirmed via the release of an album trailer, which highlights the two beloved K-pop idols going through the ‘vibes’ of their daily routines, alongside glimpses of them partying in a club and on the beach. Aside from the vignettes of their lives, the trailer also introduced two new animated figures that are meant to represent the two SEVENTEEN members.
The debut of S.COUPS and MINGYU as one of SEVENTEEN’s new sub-units follows after fellow members HOSHI and WOOZI debuted as ‘HxW’ with the release of their 1st Single Album BEAM. Other popular sub-units from the celebrated K-pop group include BSS (comprised of SEUNGKWAN, DK, and HOSHI), who recently released their 2nd Single Album, titled TELEPARTY.
Just recently, the full group dropped their fifth full-length album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, which commemorated their fifth anniversary in the music scene. The album featured the chart-topping singles “THUNDER” and “Bad Influence (Prod. by Pharrell Williams),” as well as thirteen solo tracks for each member of SEVENTEEN.
S.COUPS and MINGYU’s HYPE VIBES is scheduled for release later this month on September 29, 2025, at 6 PM (KST)/5 PM (PHST), with pre-orders set to be made available very soon.
