Over the weekend, beloved indie acts from all over Asia, from Korea to Singapore, gathered in the heart of Cebu City from September 5 to September 7, 2025. Presented by organizations Coast2Coast, Filla Killa, and more, music festival September Fever shed light on the indie communities spread throughout Asia throughout an array of music talks, stirring performances, DJ sets, and even a pre-show book fair on September 5. Headlining the eighth iteration of the indie festival were international acts like Singaporean indie rock band Subsonic Eye, Cebuano influencer/R&B artist Zeke Abella, and more.

In the evening of the same day, in collaboration with the Cebu Art Book Fair, the ‘Korea Talks’ segment of the festival combined music talks and performances to immerse the audience members in the independent music scene of Korea. Speaking for the panel discussion were Yeongjin Kim and Joohee Maeng of SUPERSONIC Studio, music industry editor and researcher Mariel Abanes, and Korean independent music critic Saemi Shin. Furthermore, Korean indie pop trio Hathaw9y and Korean math rockers Dabda, along with Cebu’s own indie nostalgia band Coloura, capped off September Fever’s third day with a string of heart-stirring live performances.
