Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has just been arrested in New York City.

The arrest comes following a grand jury indictment in the United States, though the exact charges that Combs faces remain unclear to the public. As early as March of this year, both his properties in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by the US Department of Homeland Security as part of an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation –– while he himself is facing a plethora of civil lawsuits that accuse him of sexual abuse.

Currently, Combs is being held in federal custody at the FBI Field Office in Manhattan, though it was also mentioned that the arrest took place one day before its scheduled date for undisclosed reasons. His lawyer, Atty Marc Agnifilo, shared an official statement regarding the matter: “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.”

Agnifilo claims that despite Combs’ imperfect nature, he is “no criminal” and has been fully cooperative with the investigation –– urging the public the reserve judgement until all the facts have been laid out. He also states that Combs is “an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Since last 2023, the renowned musician has been under scrutiny following a lawsuit brought about by his ex-girlfriend and fellow musician, Cassie, who accused Combs of sex trafficking and domestic abuse over several years in their relationship. Though the lawsuit was settled almost immediately, legal pressure regarding the issue continued to mount over the next few months –– with more accusers coming forward with their stories of sexual assault and sexual misconduct, even if the “I’ll Be Missing You” singer has vehemently denied such “sickening accusations.”
