SB19‘s Josh Cullen has just given us the first glimpse of his debut solo album with his latest single, “Silent Cries.”

The track embodies Josh’s signature confidence, bursting with energy surrounded by the novel pop-punk soundscapes integrated within the track. It’s a welcome showcase for the P-pop star to demonstrate his versatility as an artist, as he traverses new sonic ground to introduce new sounds to his loyal fans and audience. The lyrics penned by Josh himself tackle themes of reflection, following his experiences of being stuck in a negative cycle, as he had been “been drowning in the dark, wish I could find the light through silent cries.”

“Silent Cries” is the first single from Josh’s first album, titled Lost and Found, which is scheduled for release later this September 6, 2024. An official music video for the song is expected to be released later today, while the second and third singles from the record are expected to be on streaming and digital platforms this September 2 and 5, 2024. An additional music video is also set to drop on September 6, 2024, to coincide with the album’s release.

Just this week, Josh and his fellow SB19 members were selected by Billboard Philippines as the Philippine representatives for Billboard’s K POWER 100 Event in Seoul, South Korea together with fellow P-pop phenomenons BINI. Josh, together with his SB19 members, performed their hit single “GENTO” to close out the event wherein they were also honored with the Voices of Asia award. “This award belongs not just to us, but to the entire P-pop movement, OPM, and of course, everyone sharing Filipino creativity across Asia and the world,” said Josh, as he also gave a shout-out to fellow awardees BINI.

SB19’s highly-anticipated PAGTATAG! documentary film just hit cinemas earlier this week and is currently the #1 movie in the Philippines following its release across 184 cinemas nationwide. In a review of the documentary, Billboard Philippines described it as “economical and emotional, with a touching, hopeful ending,” as well as commending the efforts of director Jed Regala and how he was able to stitch hundreds of pieces of footage together to present a significant period in SB19’s story.
