Today (April 15), P-pop has gained a new girl group, as Viva Records‘ latest girl group, RAYA, have made their official debut with the song “BLING.” The single release will soon be followed by a music video, which is scheduled to premiere on April 26. The nine-piece are also set to hold a showcase and advance screening for their music video at the Viva Cafe in Cubao, Quezon City on April 25.

The girl group first entered the Philippine sonic landscape with their pre-debut release, “Bongga Ka Day,” in January 17, 2025. The group is comprised of nine members; Jemima, Rona, Kash, Priscilla, Aviona, Abel, Ash, Anna, and Sofia. The group name “RAYA” derives from the word hiraya, which translates to hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Through their debut, the group aspire to champion female empowerment and blend sounds of Filipino pop and hip hop.

Signed to Viva Records, the group shares the same label as fellow P-pop acts like ALAMAT, GAT, and others.
