The Ely Buendia-led band Pupil are set to perform live again after five years at 12 Monkeys this March 2 (Saturday).

Joining them at the gig are Sandwich (fronted by former Eraserheads bandmate, Raymund Marasigan) and Chicosci. Composed of members Buendia on vocals and rhythm guitar, lead guitarist Jerome Velasco, bassist Dok Sergio (formerly of Teeth) and drummer Wendell Garcia, Pupil last played together live in 2019. They debuted in 2005 and released an album titled Beautiful Machines, which includes their hit, “Nasaan Ka?” (Where Are You?).

The door charge for the gig costs P1,500, while table reservations may vary. 12 Monkeys is located at the ground floor of the North Wing of Estancia Capitol Commons in Pasig City. Reservations can be made through 12 Monkeys’ various channels here.

In 2020, they released a special edition of their 2009 record, Wildlife. The 2020 release includes a disc 2 of live versions of “Different Worlds,” “Sala” (Living Room), “Here I Go Again,” “Monobloc,” “Teacher’s Pet,” and “Disconnection Notice.” It also has demo versions of the aforementioned “Teacher’s Pet” as well as “Sumasabay” (Join) and “Matador.” Their last full-length release was in 2015 with Zilch.
