Offshore Music is releasing a tribute album to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cutterpillow — the third full-length record of Filipino rock icons Eraserheads. Released on May 30, 2025 (Friday), the news was announced by the independent music label on May 19, 2025 (Monday).

Namely, this includes ena mori, ALYSON, Pinkmen, Carousel Casualties, Sansette, Amateurish, Pixie Labrador, GundamFunk, Diego’s Scenes, MI MI, Elton Clark, Eliza Marie, Stef Aranas, Seedy And The Years, Ligaya Escueta, Aviators, neytan, and Juicebox.

“We didn’t set any parameters. We just told the artists that it was a tribute album, and they can interpret it as they see fit,” says Offshore Music CEO Ely Buendia in a press statement, noting how some of the artists “totally changed the feel, genre, and energy of the song,” while some “stayed faithful to the material but added some sprinkles of their own musicality in it.”

“The balance just came naturally,” he adds. “The decision is left to the artists, and we trust that they have the taste and wisdom to determine whether they are enhancing the original song or giving it some sort of a sonic makeover that appeals to a specific generation of listeners.”

With this, Offshore Music General Manager Audry Dionisio, highlights the independent label’s “commitment to artistic freedom and integrity,” noting that Offshore has “always empowered its artists to push boundaries, whether by challenging conventions or breathing new life into timeless material.”

“Each artist was given complete creative freedom. Some producers collaborated directly with the band, but Ely and Pat Sarabia oversaw the entire project,” shares Dionisio. “We’re fortunate to have one-fourth of the Eraserheads guiding the process and lending his seal of approval. All the artists decided on what they were going to do, and we were just here to guide them. Even Rayms, Buddy, and Marcus gave their input on some tracks.”

Alongside the tribute album’s release, Offshore Music will also be releasing an accompanying docuseries this June 6, 2025 (Friday), with new episodes set to come out every Friday until August. It will “showcase behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions, as well as interviews with the artists and producers involved.” Here, the artists’ experiences, both “the highs and lows,” in bringing the record to life will be showcased. This includes, “their first reactions to joining the project to brainstorming, recording take after take, and their spontaneous bursts of creativity.”

Prior to this, the Offshore Music artists previously teamed up to release Dimensions — a compilation album consisting of eight special renditions of songs from eight of the label’s artists. It was released on May 31, 2024. Namely, the acts included are Mt. Lewis, Carousel Casualties, Elton Clark, Pinkmen, GundamFunk, Ligaya Escueta, ALYSON, and ena mori.

Released on December 8, 1995, Cutterpillow is officially recognized as the biggest Eraserheads record, known for being the best-selling rock album in the history of Filipino music. It contains some of the band’s greatest hits, including “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Superproxy” featuring Francis M, “Overdrive,” “Torpedo,” “Huwag Mo Nang Itanong,” and more.
