Novocrane is back with a brand-new single, entitled “Tender.” Released on June 15, 2025 (Sunday) in celebration of Pride Month, the song was made available by the indie rock act — composed solely of singer-songwriter Kai Sevillano — exclusively through Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
“Tender” serves as Novocrane’s second release of the year and the follow-up to ““safe and sound,” which came out last March 28, 2025. Officially revealed last June 13, the new single is notable for its dreamy sophisti-pop instrumentals, with lyrics that explore embracing vulnerability and intimacy in the face of a love so sweet and tender.
In other news, Novocrane recently produced a cassette run of a special single, dubbed “Surrender To The Sound.” Made in collaboration with Indonesian cassette production label Wet Banditoz, it contains “safe and sound,” as well as Novocrane’s debut track “Imaginary Party.” Each tape is priced at IDR 15,000 or PHP 500, excluding shipping costs, and are still available via Wet Banditoz (Indonesia) and directly through the band (Philippines). The cassette release is limited to a total of 45 pieces only, with each one hand-numbered.
Notably, Novocrane was one of the acts handpicked by Billboard Philippines as part of its ’10 Filipino Artists To Look Out For This 2025′ list. In the list, we spotlighted “Imaginary Party,” describing the song as embodying “a beloved sound that feels nostalgic and familiar yet fresh and exciting at the same time, leaving an impressive taste of what is to potentially come from the band this 2025.”
