Nine Inch Nails are officially back on the scene with the release of their latest album, the original soundtrack to the upcoming film, TRON: Ares.

The newly released record features an electic mix of vocal and instrumental tracks, all of which feature their signature atmospheric, industrial rock sound. It comprises a total of twenty-four original tracks, including the previously released single, “As Alive As You Need Me To Be,” as well as brand new themes like “Init,” “Infiltrator,” and “Daemonize,” and vocal-heavy tracks such as “I Know You Can Feel It,” “Who Wants To Live Forever?” and “Shaodw Over Me.”

Nine Inch Nails are no stranger to the world of film, having released multiple original scores and soundtracks under the banner Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross. Most recently, they garnered acclaim for their work on Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and Queer, and have won two Academy Awards for their compositions for Pixar’s Soul and David Fincher’s The Social Network.

The TRON: Ares original soundtrack marks the beloved rock band’s twelfth studio album, following their ambient albums from 2020, Ghosts VI: Locusts and Ghosts V: Together, as well as their 2018 record Bad Witch. The album’s release comes two weeks before the accompanying film’s worldwide release, as TRON: Ares is scheduled to release in Philippine cinemas this October 8, 2025 (Wednesday), and is directed by Joachim Rønning.
