Today (September 4, 2025), Hev Abi announced the recent release of his collaborative single with “Ang Pagmamahal (Special Version),” with fellow Downtown Q’ Entertainment talent gins&melodies under the Downtown Q’ joint account. Much like the pair’s well-known collaborative pieces like “Babaero” and “sakit mo na,” the track follows a heartfelt and suave R&B beat and was released on August 25.
This marks the first official release of Downtown Q’ as a unit since their 2023 full-length album, Breezemonths, Vol. 1. Composed of tracks with artists Hev Abi, gins&melodies, Kristina Dawn, Unotheone, and more,
In recent news, The Downtown Q’ Entertainment crew recently kicked off their ‘Sobrang Downtown’ Philippine Tour in Bicol last June 16. While the rest of the tour dates and locations have yet to be revealed, more details about the initial show can be found here.
Both gins&melodies and Hev Abi were guests of the recent Billboard Philippines’ Pinoy Hip-Hop Mixtape 2025 Party. Starring as well as one of the representatives of the icons for this selection of artists, Hev Abi shared his initial senitment behind his viral success: “Well siyempre, nakakatuwa, kasi ‘di mo ma-imagine ganun kadaming tao ‘yung, kumbaga, ma-di-dig yung ginagawa mo.” (“Of course, it’s amazing because you can’t imagine that so many people would dig what you’re doing.”)
