Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion has just announced her third album, titled ‘Megan’.

The announcement was shared during her Atlanta concert held last night as part of her ongoing ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ across North America and Europe. Megan is scheduled to be released later this month on June 28, 2024, and has been described as a ‘rebirth’ of sorts for the chart-topping musician –– given how it takes inspiration from snakes and their ability to shed their previous skin in order to evolve.

Thee Stallion first hinted at a new direction earlier this April, and has continued to release a string of serpent-themed singles that include “BOA“, “COBRA“, and “HISS” –– with the latter claiming the No. 1 spot upon its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200 charts. Additionally, she also released the collaboration track “Not My Fault” with Renee Rapp for the Mean Girls Musical movie released earlier this year.

Megan follows after the release of her second studio album Traumazine (2022) and her debut record Good News (2020) –– which were both released under her former labels, 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified. Earlier this February, Thee Stallion entered an exclusive distribution agreement with Warner Music Group that will enable the Houston native to maintain her independence as a musician while also having access to the music company’s robust global services –– ranging from radio promotion to marketing worldwide. Via the unique structure of the agreement, the rapper will have the distribution and resources of Warner Music, while still retaining full ownership of her masters and publishing.
