MATÉO has just released his brand new single, titled “POREBER.”

The newly released track sees the balladeer stepping into a new chapter of his musical journey –– marking his first full-band single. “Poreber is about holding on to the promise of forever with the person you love, but instead of talking about it in a grand scale, it’s talked about in the everyday moments you have together that make up everlasting love,” MATÉO says of the track in an official press statement. ““Lalim’ is for goodnight—‘Poreber’ is for good morning,” he continued.

Together with the track’s release on digital and streaming platforms, he also dropped an accompanying music video directed by Jonathan Tal Placido and produced by Toothless Studios. Check it out in its entirety below:

The track was first announced via the folk musician’s official social media platforms, wherein a full promotional scheduler was released, detailing its release date of November 21, 2025. According to the scheduler, an accompanying music video will also be released on the same day of the track’s drop on digital and streaming platforms, while various teaser images are scheduled to be released throughout November 9, 14, and 18.

“POREBER” marks his second release under ABYSS COMPANY and will be his third single of 2025 thus far, following his cover of Cinderella’s 1979 hit “Bato Sa Buhangin,” and “Tungo,” which was released independently. MATÉO emerged as one of this year’s biggest breakout acts thus far with the release of his first single “Lalim,” which was nominated for Folk Song of the Year at the first-ever Filipino Music Awards.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines a few months back, MATÉO opened up about the long-winded journey that led him to ABYSS Company, and how his experiences working in the A&R side of the industry have affected his debut as an artist. “I’d say I’m taking it step by step. I already have a bunch of materials readily available, actually, so I could compile an EP or I could put together an album,” he teased regarding his future music.

“But syempre ako (of course for me), I’d like to do it step by step lang din. Para at least hindi rin mambigla (Just so that I don’t shock or overwhelm myself), and at the same time, it’s focusing on the passion of the project through these singles I’ve been releasing,” he then continued.
