The local soundscape is getting a whole lot more exciting as Dionela and Loonie have recently announced their upcoming collaborative single entitled “Ikigai.” In Facebook post shared by the consistent chart-topper, Dionela revealed lyrics to this upcoming track in addition to photos with Loonie in the studio. The song’s title, “Ikigai,” is a Japanese concept, translating to “a reason for being” or “a reason to live.”

Dionela has recently been nominated for the first MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, being named as a contender for the Best Song Asia award for his hit collaboration with Jay R, “Sining.” A fellow local nominee for this award is the renowned singer-songwriter, TJ Monterde, for his evergreen ballad, “Palagi.”

On a similar beat, the celebrated local hip-hop artist recently took home the Wishclusive Hip-hop Performance of the Year Award for his song, “Tugmang Preso” during the 10th iteration of the Wish Music Awards. His most recent musical release dates back to June 9 of 2024 with his collaborative piece with fellow hip-hop artists like Ron Henley, Apekz, and Dank Puffs; a remastered version of “KUSH.”
