Today (September 11, 2025), it has been announced that joining the performance roster for the first-ever Filipino Music Awards are Pinoy music legends and trailblazers Lolita Carbon of Asin, Yeng Constantino, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. In this monumental event held on October 21, 2025, at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena, these icons will be joining fellow pioneers of Filipino music, SB19, BINI, and IV of Spades.
Renowned for her legendary work as the frontwoman of Filipino folk band Asin, Lolita Carbon is one of the most iconic voices that has shaped Original Pinoy Music (OPM) as we see it today. In a feature previously written by Billboard Philippines, Asin is cited as one of the most influential folk bands in Filipino culture as a whole; “Against the backdrop of political and social upheavals of the martial law era, the folk group Asin emerged as a formidable force in the Philippines’ musical landscape. Their music, characterized by poignant lyrics and melodic arrangements, not only entertained but also served as a rallying cry against the authoritarian regime.”
For the iconic popstar Yeng Constantino, this quickly follows her recent collaborative work with rock band NOBITA on the track “Gayuma,” where they speak about the feelings of uncertainty in falling in love, and the hope that the feelings are mutual. Furthermore, in a deep dive explored by Billboard Philippines, Yeng Constantino is spotlighted as an artist whose music provided solace during the 2008 Financial Crisis — read more about it here.
According to the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra is “(the) country’s leading orchestra and is widely regarded as one of the top musical ensembles in the Asia-Pacific region.” Established on May 15, 1973, the orchestra has toured internationally and worked with the world’s most renowned conductors and composers.
Presenting 20 awards across five major categories, the Filipino Music Awards will be presented by Modern Media Group Inc. — home to prestigious global titles like Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp. Gathering the industry’s biggest artists and most influential figures, the night will be decorated with prestigious awards, moving performances, and more.
Tickets for the grand and prestigious event are priced at Php. 4,000 for the Platinum Record Package, Php. 3,500 for the Gold Record Package, and Php. 1,500 for the Silver Record Package.
