K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM announced PUREFLOW Pt. 1, their second studio album following UNFORGIVEN in 2023.
After nearly three years, KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE are coming back with a full album, out May 22. Shared through the fan community platform Weverse, Source Music describes the forthcoming release as “a new chapter for LE SSERAFIM.”
PUREFLOW, an anagram for powerful, continues the chart-topping group’s tradition of rearranging words to reveal their message. In this case, the album is said to “capture the changes and growth that come from acknowledging and confronting your fears.” Consistent since their debut, the fearless quintet keeps their self-confidence and fearlessness as the core of every song they put out.
Ahead of the album release, the girl group will also unveil their lead single, “Celebration,” on April 24. Source Music describes how the track “celebrates the moment you embrace changes and gain the strength to move forward.” The song recognizes that anyone can reach moments like these themselves — and that it is worth celebrating.
LE SSERAFIM’s previous release, “SPAGHETTI,” also served confidence on a platter, making noise with its tongue-in-cheek lyrics and catchy hook. It featured BTS’ main dancer, J-HOPE, which marked his first-ever collaboration with a K-pop girl group. The track also achieved the girl group’s highest peak on the Billboard Hot 100, outplacing “Crazy” and “Easy” from the previous year.
A promising contender as their highest chart entry, PUREFLOW Pt. 1 is now available for pre-orders, prior to its official release on May 22. Further details will be available on LE SSERAFIM Weverse.
