Lauv has just released his first single of 2024.
On April 24, the multi-platinum American singer-songwriter unveiled a new track entitled “Potential” which showcases “heartfelt lyrics that capture the uncertainty of a budding romance.” In a press statement, Lauv shared, “‘Potential’ is about realizing you have feelings for someone and dreaming about the potential of what it could be. It’s the beginning of my next, most authentic chapter, and I can’t wait to share this and everything that’s coming next.”
Hand-in-hand with the single’s release is an accompanying music video helmed by director Luke Orlando who is known to have worked with Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek. It marks the “I Like Me Better” hitmaker’s first fully choreographed music video which you can watch here.
