Laufey has just announced her very first concert film.

Titled A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl, this concert film differs from most of her usual shows as it captures her headlining performance at the Hollywood Bowl last August together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, which saw 18,000 people in attendance. The film, directed by Sam Wrench (who also helmed Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film) is scheduled for release across select theaters and in IMAX worldwide this upcoming December 6, 2024.

In the first teaser of the upcoming concert film, the jazz-pop musician sings a fifty-second snippet of “From The Start,” which marks the final song in her set and stands as one of her most popular releases to date. “It’s always been a dream of mine to present my music with the LA Philharmonic,” Laufey shared in an official statement. “To be able to bring that concert to people way beyond L.A. and the Hollywood Bowl is so meaningful to me, especially as I come from so many different parts of the world, which have all played a part in inspiring my work and artistic journey.”

Just recently, Laufey performed a special symphonic show with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra earlier this June, in addition to having her first arena show at the Mall of Asia Arena last month. In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines before her symphony show, the Grammy winner gushed about her love for classical music, stating her love for the experience of playing with an orchestra. “Playing with the orchestra is so much fun because I grew up playing classical music, and I grew up within the walls of an orchestra. I always had this dream of blending that symphonic sound with my own music, especially since it’s something that has really stood the test of time.”

Tickets for Laufey’s A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl concert film are scheduled to be put on sale on October 30, 2024, here.
