After nearly one year, Lana Del Rey has announced the release of a brand new single, set to be titled “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.”
The surprise announcement was shared by the famed alternative-pop musician on her Instagram stories, wherein the singer told her fans in a video, “I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single and my favorite song [on the new album] — this is the one I’ve been waiting for — ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ is coming out on the 17th.” While Del Rey did not make it clear which month she was pertaining to, one could only assume that the track is scheduled for release on February 17, 2026.
Additionally, the “Video Games” hitmaker continued explaining what fans could expect from the song’s release, noting that it would be co-produced by Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson, as well as co-written by her husband, Jeffrey Dufrene, her brother-in-law, and her sister, Chuck Grant — even teasing the group’s involvement in making the single’s music video. “There’s just so many bits and phrases thrown in by other people. We made the video like just ourselves, but still, still, it takes hours and hours of editing and downloading and uploading and all that,” Del Rey mentioned.
She continued by teasing fans with her upcoming album’s (set to be titled Stove) long-delayed release, acknowledging the demand by stating, ““I know, you’re asking about the record. But honestly, [it’s going to come] soon. ‘Cause vinyl takes three months, so three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take a bit less than that.”
“White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” marks the latest single off Del Rey’s tenth studio album, following her most recent releases, “Bluebird” and “Henry, come on.” Del Rey’s tenth album was initially slated for a May 2025 release and was previously titled Lasso and The Right Person Will Stay. The record has been described as the pop star’s foray into country music, and follows the release of her last four albums, Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean blvd, Blue Banisters, Chemtrails Over The Country Club, and Norman Fucking Rockwell.
