Lady Gaga is gearing up for the release of her long-awaited LG7 album very soon.

As revealed by several sets of clues and an official pre-save link, the upcoming single from the genre-defying pop superstar is titled “Disease” — with its release scheduled for October 25, 2024 (Friday). Together with its highly anticipated release date, some of its lyrics were also revealed by a series of websites that are connected to one another.

Upon piecing the clues together, what appears to be a full verse or chorus of the track is revealed, stating: “I could play the doctor / I can cure your disease / If you were a sinner / I could make you believe / Lay you down like one, two, three / Eyes roll back in ecstasy / I can smell your sickness / I can cure ya / Cure your disease.” The final URL then reveals the same logo of “Disease” and the same release date as the official pre-save page.

Last week, Gaga teased the single by hiding its title within various albums in her discography on Spotify. The singer did so by spelling out one song from each of her seven albums in upper case letters, apart from one letter which is lower case. With several of her fans piecing the clues together, they were able to spell out the full title of the track.

Though most details regarding the track have yet to be revealed, “Disease” is set to serve as the first single off the highly-anticipated LG7 that is scheduled for release later next February 2025. In her cover story for Vogue Magazine‘s September issue, the pop icon confirmed the news, and also shared that the album’s lead single would be arriving later this month.

Prior to the track’s release, Gaga also released what she described as “Album 6.5” with Harlequin — a tie-in record to the recently released Joker: Folie á Deux. The record featured various jazz covers of popular songs like The Carpenters’ “Close To You,” Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life,” and more, together with original compositions that were written for the blockbuster film. Her collaboration single with Bruno Mars, “Die With A Smile,” continues to reign on top of the Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 chart, standing at No. 1 in its eighth week of charting.
