Up-and-coming OPM artist Kevin Montillano returns with his new single, “alon,” releasing on April 24, 2026, under KDR Music House.

Written by Montillano himself, “alon,” which translates to English as “wave,” captures a personal journey of overcoming hesitation and doubt, ultimately riding the waves of life’s uncertainties. The track delves into themes about self-doubt, surrendering to one’s emotions, and finding strength in trusting the uncertain path.

“alon” mirrors the ebb and flow of emotions, offering a hopeful tune along the way, as heard in the line, “Sa alon tayo’y lulutang” (On the waves, we float).

“Never doubt yourself, and never let anyone tell you you’re not enough — even if that person is yourself,” Montillano shares in an official statement.

Carving his own path in today’s OPM and pop landscape, Montillano capitalizes on his heartfelt storytelling through his music that reflects themes of love, self-discovery, and authenticity.

In 2025, he released his independent singles “Nananaginip” and “Akin Lang,” while his first release with the label was “Tinatangi” in December of the same year.
