Today (August 8, 2025), global girl group KATSEYE released their remix for hit single “Gabriela” with Puerto Rican singer-rapper Young Miko. The new version of the track adds a bridge rapped entirely by the Young Miko in Spanish, adding a layer of authenticity to the Latin pop anthem.
As it currently stands on the Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 (dated August 9, 2025), KATSEYE currently take the No. 9 spot for “Gabriela,” testifying to the song’s popularity and resonance with the Filipino audience. The song had previously peaked at the No. 8 position, and has been circulating the Chart for six weeks and counting.
Young Miko, alternatively known as María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona, made her musical debut in 2021 with the track “105 Freestyle” with multiplatinum producer and artist Caleb Calloway. Breaking away from her career as a former football player, Ramírez came out with her debut EP Trap Kitty in 2022, establishing her name in the rising latin trap scene.
KATSEYE, on the other hand, have been making waves internationally as they made their groundbreaking debut on the Lollapalooza stage last Sunday (August 3), in Chicago. The group has also been announced as cover stars for the upcoming Billboard Philippines‘ August print issue, which is scheduled to be released this coming August 15.
