Jose Mari Chan is bringing Christmas to the Newport Performing Arts Theater on December 12, 2026, at 8 PM, as the King of Philippine Christmas Carols gears up to share the concert stage with fellow OPM acts.
‘A Christmas with the OPM Icons‘ was officially announced in a social media post by Newport World Resorts. The beloved “Christmas in Our Hearts” singer will be headlining the concert, with the post teasing that “he’s bringing some of OPM’s biggest stars.” As of today, no artist besides Chan has been named. Ticket pre-sale will be open from August 20 to 22, 2026 via Epic Rewards, while general public sales will open on August 29, 2029 on Ticketworld. Prices include:

Hailed as the “King of Philippine Christmas Carols,” Chan made his major debut with his first album, Deep In My Heart, released in 1969. However, it was his seventh studio album, Christmas in Our Hearts, released in 1990, that launched Chan into mainstream success, turning the singer into a household name nationwide.
Chan’s fame is such that the singer has become a notable subject in meme culture. His predominant identity as a Christmas-themed singer bestowed him a similar status as Mariah Carey, with the ongoing joke being that the Filipino singer’s music becomes ubiquitous during the “ber” months.
Chan’s more recent upcoming performances include his now-sold-out ‘Timeless Harmonies’ concert at the Music Museum on September 12, 2026, as well as his ‘Pinoy na Kristmas’ US Concert Tour 2026 from November 6 to 15, 2026.
