Joji has made his long-awaited comeback with his new single, “PIXELATED KISSES.

The newly released track sees the beloved Japanese-Australian musician returning to his dark R&B and trip-hop sound, featuring the same moody, yet glitchy production style he’s become known for. Spanning a runtime just under two minutes, “PIXELATED KISSES” was self-written and self-produced by Joji himself, and marks his first release under Palace Creek and distributed by Virgin Music.

Together with the single’s release, an accompanying visualizer was also dropped, which was directed & edited by mamesjao. Check it out below:

“PIXELATED KISSES” marks Joji’s first musical release in three years, following his third studio album, Smithereens. The album featured the viral singles “Glimpse of Us”, “Die For You”, and “YUKON (INTERLUDE)” –– all of which have been added to his growing list of hit tracks, which include “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK”, “Sanctuary”, and “Gimme Love.”

Joji largely disappeared from the public eye following the final few shows of his Pandemonium World Tour, the last of which was performed in Manila back in November of 2023. In Billboard Philippinesreview of the show, it was noted that despite the artist feeling under the weather, he was still able to deliver his greatest hits in an energetic manner, even if it left audiences wanting more.
