88rising rapper and singer Joji has announced that his remaining shows in Asia will be canceled due to “health reasons.”
The announcement comes after his concert in Manila last night (November 29) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The rapper revealed the news via his Instagram stories this morning (November 30), Philippine time. In the message, Joji wrote, “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to my upcoming shows in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong due to health reasons. I will be back I promise!”
Prior to his Manila concert, he had already performed shows in Taipei and Thailand. The Kuala Lumpur show was slated to happen on November 30 followed by a performance at Singapore’s ZoukOut 2023 on December 2 and at Clockenflap Festival in Hong Kong on December 3.
Clockenflap also posted the announcement on their Instagram account, saying “We are absolutely gutted with this news. We are sending our love to Joji for a swift recovery, and to all of you who we know are as disappointed with this as we are. We are working our very hardest to lock in a replacement to share with you as soon as possible. The show goes on!”
Details on ticket refunds have yet to be announced.
