“GOAT’s out of the bag,” says the caption of the announcement from Apple Music.
Taking place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, this marks the second time the NFL’s biggest annual championship game is being held at the venue, following Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true,” the multi-Grammy-winning rapper shares in a press statement.
“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him. I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity, and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says.
Jay-Z, along with his entertainment company Roc Nation, has partnered with the NFL since 2019. They produced their first halftime show in 2020 with Super Bowl LIV.
