Jacob Collier has just announced that new music is officially on the way.
Taking to his social media platforms, the renowned musical virtuoso has shared details of his upcoming studio album, titled The Light For Days, scheduled for release this October 10, 2025. In addition to sharing the news of its release, he also dropped the first new single off the album with “I Know (A Little),” showcasing a glimpse of the record’s departure from the more textured and experimental sounds of his Djesse album series.
The Light For Days is also set to include his previously released cover of The Beach Boys’ “Keep An Eye On Summer,” which was released earlier on August 29. The record also marks his sixth full-length album, following the four volumes of his Djesse album series, and his smashing 2016 debut record, In My Room.
Just recently, Collier performed in the Philippines with his show at the New Frontier Theatre earlier this June, which Billboard Philippines described as “an auditory and sensory experience unlike any other” in our review, as Collier immersed the audience in a vibrant musical world of his own. “There are certain spaces that I’m really excited to step into, such as an orchestra, Broadway, and even the world of film. Those are whole new things for me,” he told the publication in an exclusive interview prior to the show.
“I’d love to make a little album of songs on the guitar and perhaps even a piano album too,” teasing what was to come of his future projects, following the completion of his Djesse album series.
