Quickly rising up to the Billboard Japan charts after debuting on January 1 of this year, Number_i is set to release their first full length album, No.I, on September 23.
Leading with their first drop from this album, “Inzm” (Inazuma), which was released on August 19, their full length album aims to display the artistic range and capabilities of Number_i. No.I will feature 13 songs, including a bonus track available on limited edition. As the trio poises to captivate the world with their music, their opening track teases an electrifying and groundbreaking sound to the rest of their album.
Previously, the group topped charts with their hit track “Goat” before releasing their EP of the same title. The almost immediate success of Number_i breached even the global market, as they performed for the 88rising Futures special stage for Coachella. This set the stage for their entrance into the US market, placing 10th on the overall Apple Music chart and 3rd on the Hip-Hop chart. Following their global introduction, Number_i released their mini album No.O -ring- on May 27.
Although the group may seem fresh to the scene, Number_i is composed of former members of hit J-Pop boy group, King & Prince. Members Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi took their former legacy in their stride as they now aim to revolutionize the way we listen to the genre. Number_i introduces a whole new sound, with heavy metal guitar riffs and booming bass backing their energetic rap.
