On Wednesdays, we listen to a new IV OF SPADES track. The indie-alternative quartet has released a brand-new single, “Suliranin,” on today (October 8, 2025).

Much like the rollouts for their previously released singles: “Aura,” “Nanaman,” and “Konsensya,” which will appear on the band’s sophomore album, Andalucia, “Suliranin” provides fans and listeners with another sonically different sound compared to their previous releases this year.

The track, translated to “problem” in English, talks about how problems will fade away with the narrator asking another person if they’ll join them in getting lost in a paradise that’s full of happiness that reaches the sky.

The band continues to make waves with their recent comeback. “Konsensya” entered the No. 87 position on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart (dated September 27, 2025). “Aura,” on the other hand, peaked at the No. 4 spot on the chart, dated August 2, 2025. The release also follows the announcement of their first solo concert as a quartet on December 12, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, and produced by Karpos Multimedia. Tickets for the concert range from PHP 1,000 to PHP 6,500.

Formed in 2014, the band is composed of Zild Benitez, Unique Salonga, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao De Castro. Known for their hits “Mundo” and “Come Inside of My Heart,” IV OF SPADES went on hiatus in 2020, two years after Salonga departed the band. Salonga, Benitez, and Silonga went on to pursue solo projects, while De Castro played drums for Party Pace and did session work for other artists. They made their highly anticipated comeback on July 16, 2025, with the release of “Aura” and the return of Salonga to the lineup.
